Well, from looking at this source it would appear that in his 199 games he has scored 11 goals. Thats one every 18 games. He’s probably due one given that he hasnt scored for us since 3rd October 2015. Maybe we should change kit and play in Northern Ireland colours. (the stats)

I’m up for the manager beginning to impose his shape and style on the team with a decent system starting to show. Players starting to play as a team, a team they want to play for.

I would rather be positive or in swebber parlance naive,delusional etc… at the start and later admit that I was wrong than be miserable and worried only to find that it’s all okay.

After spending far too much time on Internet forums over the years, I came to the conclusion some time ago that some people are only content when they find something to bitch about. Many of them seem to have found their way to Fiverweb, but you will find them everywhere.

Yea, especially just late January, you know, the New Year sales are over, that wind howls in off the sea and there is sludge and slush from a half baked snowstorm to tramp through in your best work shoes as you head down to Chinatown for dinner after a day of stupid morons giving it large at some IT Conference.

There are clearly problems on the pitch at the moment and we are rarely satisfied with the transfer windows, but I really dont get some of the doom and despondency some have going on consistantly (Alpine_Saint has made a career out of it). Reading some of the comments on fiverweb from the “Cult of Cortese” as they are called over there, made me laugh. Apparently now, when he was here everything was fantastic and he and the club could do no wrong, but those of us who spent time over on the other side for the five years Nicola was in charge will know that there was still a high level of wrist slitting and bed wetting going on. Super manager Pochettino, who can do no wrong now, was often given stick for a lack of plan b or the times when teams just lobbed the ball over the high press and hit us on the counter. No matter what, there is always something that can be found to complain about. Most of us have never met the board members and have no idea of what goes on behind the scenes, but that doesnt stop the daily character assassinations and conjecture dressed up as fact crap that gets spouted daily. This goes right back to Lowe and beyond so is not new. Speaking of the Dark Lord, funny that he got so much stick about his City background and lack of football knowledge but the Don’s carbon copy background never got a mention. Yes, we are much better here, thanks goodness, and that is what makes this site a bit of an oasis when it comes to football sites. I have looked for other decent Saints sites but they all have their manic depressives and trolls. Long live Sotonians!!
