I’m old enough to remember the original BBC version of that sketch. I was still at school though. :lou_lol:

Tap tap tap at the window…Bloody Jane Russell.

I’m really enjoying the new show. I’m not sure why anyone who saw the original (often uneven) is moaning.

Most of it writes itself through the ridiculous things people say and do. A good example here

Might have posted this before. Don’t care. Was almost in tears of laughter rewatching it.

Hadn’t seen that in years. The skidmark almost floored me

It doesn’t end there though. I like the bit where he describes his tattoo at the front that has a beard and a sausage hanging out of its mouth

This is true, but I didn’t mention that to save the blushes of the shrinking violets on the site…

I have that on my YouTube favourites. We never missed an episode in Slowlane Mansions…this was also a brilliant one…

I love Jack Dee. This is my favourite show of his.

Same here.

Been a fan ever since seeing him way back when at the Banana Cabaret in Balham / Jongleurs in Clapham.

Some of his tv is shite but him hosting I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue on R4 is worth a listen

What I like about him is that in interviews he’ll tell you his brother is funnier than him.

He really is the only bloke who could have taken over from Humph and kept the soul of the show. Nobody else pulls off that deadpan wit like he does.

Went to see him at the Mayflower some time ago. Pretty sure I went on my own as I couldn’t find anyone else to go with me. May have been me though rather than him.

That’s a particularly good set and he does have a habit of recycling stuff across tours. I think I might have seen him a few years after this gig was recorded. Many of the gags were the same.

A lot of his early stuff kept turning up when he went mainstream- like most of them tbf.

Used to get a bit monotonous if you saw them in different clubs back in the day as well.
