Sometimes i do wonder if Baz is a Saints supporter at all! Always slagging us off, slagging our manager etc etc. We are 7th in the Prem a week before Christmas, seriously how bad is that? Claude Puel has only been there for a 4 months or so, FFS give him a chance. Maybe Bazza is a Skate really. Wouldn’t surprise me at all, he certainly shows all the footballing knowledge of the typical Skate. Plus all the anti Saints trolling he does, seems to confirm for me that he is a Skate!
Get that but “former footballer” and “bless him” were too much for me. Admittedly i had just watched an interview where Rodriguez said about being a footballer “it’s all i am”.
This must be such an important time for him. Perform or the rest of your career is one big slide downhill(all be it, a very well paid demise). I’m so happy for him, i’m going to sit through match of the day just to watch his goals again.
A big step in his recovery(mental) and rehabilitation into the team at such an important time could be so fortuitous for us. Has Jays luck changed at last?
The BBC have delayed MotD2 for 24 hours…bastards.
Point taken.Wrong Muppett.
You’re welcome guys!
Well feel vindicated in my and other’s support for JayRod in the opening months of the season. Having survived two successive, potentially career ending injuries there were far too many who demanded an instant return to form. It doesn’t ever happen like that.
After two major injuries a player has to be nursed back to full effectiveness, both physically and mentally. The club can do a certain amount for both aspects but the fans play a very large part in the mental rehabillitation. Jay acknowledged the fan’s support after the game…hope he wasn’t listening too intently to the online forums.
Is he back? He’s on the way…continue rehabilitation…and well done Jay!
A double dose of Christmas cheer for us long suffering Saints supporters. A well deserved away win with 3 goals and the return to the score sheet by JRod. It doesnt get much better than this! Happy Christmas one and all (even you Barry!).

BTripz YOU ARE WRONG. I have already explained why we will win and so I expect a grovelling apology on Sunday at about 3.30pm, thank you very much!
Well, it was my son’s birthday yesterday (10 years old!! Where does the time go) so I didn’t get to watch the match until 20:00 in the evening.
I had to put up with my Man United, sorry, Bournemouth supporting brother in law trying to wind me up in the afternoon as he was watching the score on the BBC app and I was trying to avoid it!
Anyway, please with the result, the first 15 mins we were under the cosh and then Bertrand did something he had no right to do and Saints seemed to pick up the energy.
Reed looked out of his depth but I’m sure he’ll be eased into it and come good. Hjoberg had his worst game for us but got better in the second half.
Sublime skills from Davis for J-Rod’s first, a tap in from 1yd out was what he needed it seems.
Boufal and Redmond both tricky with no end product. Tadic didn’t have much of an effect beyond his first 5 mins.
J-Rod’s second was a typical confident strikers goal, from the replays he knew where the goal was as he didn’t even look up for it when he shot. Boruc was well beaten.
I really do hope J-Rod is “back” and that, that will spur Long on to start scoring too.
TBH the last 20 mins was Long’s sort fo game, Bompey were stretched and there was space that Long could have exploited with his speed.
Pleased with the result as my pessimism was real and not my “lucky charm”.

TMO I offcially prostrate myself at your 3 toed feet and beg your benign forgiveness.
You need to beg forgiveness for using the word ‘Bompey’.
The bad grammar, the poor spelling, the almost TLDR and you pick up on that one word??
TCK I apologise for upsetting your sensibilities!
Bob, it’s alright my friend, many many people throughout history have made the mistake of denying the true and just judgment of the truly gifted.
I will once again put my not inconsiderable reputation on the line by predicting a score draw against Spurs in our next match. I’ll post another (successful) prediction for a Saints goal scorer nearer the time so that everyone can make masses of money by betting on it.
What’s your streak currently on TMO? If it’s 3-0 then it’s time to stop and let someone else have a go.
We’ve got 7 days before someone has to start the thread.
Girth Crooks’ team of the week
This is what he had to say about Davis :-
If ever there was a game of the proverbial two halves then this was it. Bournemouth more than held their own in the first half, but desperately ran out of steam in the second 45 minutes. I was at the Vitality Stadium for their impressive victory against Leicester in midweek and that performance clearly took more out of the Cherries than they realised.
Nevertheless, I didn’t expect Steven Davis’ second-half introduction to have such a dramatic effect. The Northern Irishman took the game by the scruff of the neck and helped lead his side to a win sealed by two Jay Rodriguez goals. Up until then, the game wasn’t really going anywhere and a draw would have suited Bournemouth.
The Saints, however, had different ideas and all credit to boss Claude Puel, who identified that their hosts were rapidly becoming a spent force and made the change that mattered. Now that’s good management.
Don’t let Mr Sanchez read that last bit!!
Unfortunately, as much as that may all be true, Garth normally speaks such shit that none of what he says can be considered relevant at any point, anywhere in the world. What’s happened here is that he has finally guessed something right (although I’d question the “more than held their own” comment about the Bournemouths first half - they held their own, “more than” held their own suggests they had the better of it, which they didn’t.)
Thought we played much the same as usual tbh, and that is not criticism, just shows the difference when Jrod remembers how to score from 1yd, and Bert Rand & JRod both pull quality goals out their arse. Everything else seemed much the same, including Redmond absolutely scuffing a sitter, the fkn turd.
Don’t forget Bearsy… fkn turds need love too!
i dunno man, i stuck up for Jrod srs, I thought he was hard done by, and I said, listen bros, believe in Jrod, and he will repay ur Faith, but that chance that Redman missed, it made me v.angar. I ain’t saying I’d of 100% scored it myself, but his effort, it was just embarrassing. He weren’t even close! Fkn Redman.
Where do people find highlights these days? Can’t be done waiting for Motd2 tonight.
