:pl: :chelseafc: Chelsea v Saints :saints: (live on Amazon Prime)

What a start to the day. The kick off was at 10 pm local time and i was so knackered after my drunken exploits on Christmas day i was just too tired to go out and watch the game. Was fast asleep by 10 pm, woke up this morning after 9 hours uninterrupted kip, cranked up the old laptop, BBC sport and there it was. Chelsea 0 Saints 2. Fucking hell, i thought i was still dreaming. Have read all the reports and it appears we were well worth the win, and then some. The whole game is being repeated on local TV at 5 pm, can’t wait. Off down the local market for some fruit and an iced coffee now, with a spring in my step. Quite amazing what an unexpected win for our great footy team can do for a man. COYS.

It’s difficult to get too excited at an away win at Chelsea this season. Lampard has done very well to get them into the CL spots with the transfer embargo on, but they have just lost twice before.

What is encouraging, and it’s still early days like, is that we don’t seem as doomed as we did a month or so back.

Get excited.
Team shape/spirit led to a clean sheet. That’ll give the defence confidence. The wonderful way Obafemi took his chance and the inter play for the second goal are all reasons for excitement(at least until Saturday).
Enjoy it pap it was a very good display and for me completely dispels any lingering gloom.

Wait until we’ve done that at home before getting too excited.

Think that embargo has been lifted now. Chelsea, like Saints, seem to prefer playing away from home this season.

I can wait until tomorrow

Are you serious? I was fully expecting a battering. I’m very excited by the win and the manner of the performance.

If only someone had suggested that we shouldn’t play PEH, JWP & Romeu together from the start a bit earlier this season…

Couldda been chasing a UCL Slot FFS

As @Goatboy says, they’ve not been great at home.

Now the 3-1 in the Poch era was a result.

I believe that was Koeman, Pelle and Mane era wasn’t it?

Of course it was. I sit corrected.

Thought you were standing

That 2nd goal is honestly the best footballing goal this season, tremendous.
