I just witnessed the first chink in his armour. I have liked everything he has said to date but he just gave a nonsense response to what we just witnessed and was bemoaning us not taking our chances as opposed to being absolutely mortified or incensed by our defending.
Sure he may feel differently behind closed doors but he’s been very honest up until now, so surely that is more than just protecting his players.
The pundits were already alluding to changes if things don’t improve and quickly.

He always seemed to fuck up the pass, cross, whatever, and possession broke down. Didn’t the last goal come from him gifting it away?
Yeah, that was shocking.
BUT, the way we set up attacking corners is suicidal and we are so susceptible to the counter attack. It has happened too many times already this season
I don’t understand why we have to be so cavalier. 10% more caution would hardly stifle our way of playing. It’s just negligible to carry on like this and expecting kids to pull this off.

I only followed it through texts and forum posts but it was obvious the big problem is midfield: we had no control with too many players committed and they cut through at will. But some will blame defence and many will blame Bazunu, but he is so exposed his confidence must be totally shot. We lost JWP (those who knocked him every week look very stupid now) and Lavia - two quality players (and Romeu earlier and even Diallo who is better than we had last night) in DM. It’s a key area and we’re struggling to have any control in that area. Not helped by suicidal tactics and selections.
We need Stephens (or even Bednarek) back to partner H-B so Charles can partner Smallbone at DM, with Alcaraz just in front. AA, Adams, Edozie plus options up front. And stop committing everyone to a suicidal high press.

I don’t think RM is going anywhere soon. He’s got a free pass imho after the shambles of last season. He’s already used that line about the players suffering from what happened last year.

I hope you’re right. There is a lot of work to do, that’s plain to see but it will take more than one season to set the foundations for another prolonged spell in The Premier League. You only have to look at the number of clubs that have spent just one season in the top tier. It’s not just about getting there.
It’s gonna hurt. 
I’m not a fan tbh.
My Saints supporting mate works with a Swansea fan and he predicted all of the issues about RM’s style/philosophy.
Especially Manning being a terrible defender.
