Edit. Found. Why do people feed cats ‘Coyote Food’ or do they just use them as that? Do you have coyotes in San An (or wherever it exactly you is).
There are places in my area that are near where coyote’s live. Turning an indoor cat into an outdoor cat in those locations is often referred to as making them into coyote food.
