Air travel

Regarding duty free.

You can only bring in so much Duty free alcohol from outside the EU now when I fly from the Philippines to the UK I bring a few bottles of Tanduay Rum for my old man. when I get stopped at customs they say I can only bring in two duty free bottles. trying to explain that they are not duty free that the tax was paid in the philippines does not get to there tiny minds.

Duty free means tax not paid?

Purchased in supermarket in Philippines = tax paid in Phillippines so not duty free for the life of me why can I not bring it in.

the fact that they want me to pay more tax than I paid for the bottle is another reason why it does not make any sense.
