đŸŒ„â›ˆ Actually any Holiday 2021 / 22 / 23/ 24 / 25

Because we did this when the vaccine programme started and I stupidly thought that given the speed that they and we were going at it, then by now we would be flying back and forth

What I didn’t bank on was Biden

You shouldn’t assume, when you do you make an ass out of u and me

That’s genuinely a new one on me

That is very worrying.

I found out this week why aris mean arse

Aris is short for Aristotle

Aristotle is slang for bottle

Bottle is short for Bottle and Glass

Bottle and Glass is slang for arse

Simples

It seemed a pretty good bet in February- I was a bit premature, again

In what way? My lack of knowledge of “rhyming slang” or it’s just odd?

I knew that one. Easy peasy.

Carry this in your back pocket (or on mobile device of choice):

Scary
Just did Lemon squeazy
Into my Vodka

That doesn’t translate
.

I’ve always known the meaning -it’s the convoluted journey to get from one to the other that I like

I wonder if ther are others

It’s an art form

This site has a few obscure ones

https://www.freelang.net/dictionary/docs/html_cockney_english.php

Constantly evolving judging from a couple of “geezers” I’ve worked with in the past and occasionally do beers with (pre Covid obvs)

Infraction alert!
Not sure you can type Ge****s on the innerwenmb any more!

What???

New thread time.
It’s winter already

Last day of our round England tour, and a walk round Lincoln, including view from the castle walls.

Well the cruise successfully navigated without catching Covid so one must view that as a success. Not exactly filled with photo-ops but filled with overindulgence of food and drink. The bonus of half capacity passengers means only half full of numpties. 5lbs duly added but quickly shead having been back for 5 days.
