Does Guinness count as booze or food?
Dont want to annoy MoT by suggesting a thread telocation

It depends whether you have eaten anything before cracking open or having pulled the first Guiness. If you have its a drink. If you havn’t its food.

Mary’s Bar and Hardware just off Grafton St - was highly recommended - Incredibly slow / poor service.

Avoid.

Tour to mountains. Family of 4.
Light lunch.

And such a great day weather wise just treated myself to a Snickers Ice Cream Cornet style.

So what’s the deal with the lack of pubs in Scotland- I thought they were a nation of alcoholics

On that point, anyone know of a good real ale pub in York - heading there tomorrow

Did book of Kells earlier. Got a good look at it, but all of other gospels not on show.

The long gallery at Trinity college is something out of hogwarts ( which wasn’t a thing last time I went to Trinity)

Whitby, superb lunch, lovely view from campsite, much nicer weather, somewhat appeased wife.

Things are looking up. :grinning::+1:

Tomorrow is the big occasion. Whitby fish and chips. Which apparently James Martin drives to, and back from Hampshire, in a day to sample. It better be bloody good.

Prepare to be disappointed… mind you I’m not a fan of fish and chips
