Moved on out of the Bloody Cold Mountains (Puy de Dôme) to Fleurie 
with a short detour to get a close-up of the Viaduct du Garabit, designed by Eiffel and I big influence in the design of the Eiffel Tower.

It’s absolutely fine now - just don’t do height of summer
When, in the time between checking the screens in the terminal, then passing through security & duty free to the departure atea where the bar is shut for refurbishment
And they THEN announce a 2 hour delay to your flight…

Touch and go in Singapore - we had 50 minutes for transfer - we were twenty minutes late and the connecting flight was in another terminal - 26 minutes plane seat to plane seat

My 1st night digs cancelled
on me.
I had to rebook at higher cost a bit further past Vatican.
It was a drag across town with bags.
Turns out i am staying in a Sanctuary- ie a Convent boarding house.
90 year old Nun at check-in lots of rules and a curfew.
Actually?
Perfect.
Quiet & comfy.
And just up the road one of those Pizza slice places - too much & a beer €7.50
One of the best types just bread & herbs no tomato or cheese. Stunning.
I have no wifi, no tv
But i have Beer & Vodka and a much needed early night

Went to Virgin beach today
Enjoyed watching the procession of G string clad lovelies walking into the sea
Enjoyed even more the sight of them desperately clinging onto said bikinis and the waves absolutely pummelled them
The waves were literally taking people out at the knees - very funny

Arrived in San Francisco yesterday afternoon.
As predicted spent over 2 hours queing to get through immigration. It would have been 30 minutes less, but I lost my place in the queue by nipping into the loo after getting off the plane and another flight load piled in.
Staying in Fishermans Wharf and will be going to the baseball tonight and then down to San Jose on Sunday to see the 49ers v Arizona. Bucket list ticked. Flew over stadium coming in and it looked impressive.
If I can work out how to post photos, I will. Now to try and watch the golf somewhere at 6am.
