Did it come with the miserable looking old bloke sitting in the corner
That’s me in a cheerful moment
Cut him some slack, he’s freezing. There’s a fucking snowball hanging off the ceiling above him, FFS
I’m not freezing. Just had a most pleasant half hour or so in the hot tub in the company of a happy Mrs S on her birthday. It has fantastic views and is built into an old boat.
The great Rhodian ant massacre is finally over - the genocidal maniac, the Ayatollah, has had her can of ant nerve gas wrestled off her and she is now sat in an insect (but not pest) free terminal
To cheer you all up, today we have had torrential rain interspersed with occasional sunshine but mainly very squally showers (gusts of 90kph +) with a bit of hail thrown in. Driving thought clouds until we descended to the lava field where I was fighting to keep the car on the road in the crosswind. Today’s high: 6⁰c. But it was quite nice for 10 mins on Black Sands beach.
It’s been quite nice here tbf
Weather set to warm up nicely over the next week or so….
Thank fuck I’m coming home on Thursday, then
Heatwave expected in Reykjavik from Friday
Yep. Could get as warm as 10⁰c
At the moment the sun is shining, it’s sleeting and the wind is rattling the windows.
But we’re in a nice Air B&B and I’ve got a bottle of only mildly extortionatly- priced wine. All is good
Bloody glad I’m nowhere near an airport
All the electronic passport gate in the country are down
Just in time for half term
Absolute carnage
Loads of twats blaming it on Brexit
Apparently IT failures never happened beforehand
Whereabouts in Crete?
A few miles away from Agios Nikolaos, if that helps
Just interested because my better half just got back from ten days in Makry Gialos, quite nearby across the island.
Mini-break in New Quay (the Welsh one). Beautiful weather, great fish and chips and a few pints, the arrival of a shiny new lifeboat and caught up with our friends who play as Paperwing. Probably the best and definitely the loudest duo in Wales.
Did you see any dolphins? I returned last night from 10 days in the area, my son and daughter live in Cardigan and St Dogmaels. I lived inland from Newquay for the best part of 20 years in the 80s and 90s, a mile down the road from Synod Inn. A truly beautiful and unspoilt part of the UK.
