There’s probably niche market for pics. Seems there’s a market for anything these days

Lycra up and monetize your holiday pics

Well as life as we know it draws to a close, Lady Slowlane and myself leave you to languish in a torrent of grief.

Tomorrow we leave you all with wall to wall media coverage of the passing of an old lady. She was a good old stick, head of a privileged, dysfunctional family who will, sadly make a poor job of filling her shoes in an age where they have become an anachronism.

Yes the queen has gone and we will also be gone for a week’s cruise along the River Douro. Weather forecast isn’t brilliant but we do have a generous drinks package so all is not lost.

Have a great time and enjoy the drinks package. Make sure you get your whack.

Slow progress editing and deleting photos and coping them from camera to phone to post here, but here’s a small offering. The lion was VERY distant - hoping for better in the days to come. Done of our group got lucky with close-ups of a pride of 15 last night.DSC00480

Tracking, on foot, and finding white rhino was a fantastic experience, but walking through thick thorn bush has its disadvantages.

I am imagining you walking through the jungle with a pith helmut akin to Don Estelle

The walk to school - up to 3 hours each way

It’s grim

I have been contributing to a school in archers Post Kenya for years now - it was set up by a few people like you on safari, who decided to try and make a difference

It has 40 kids at primary level, the big draw is that they get fed (half the poor mites suffer from malnutrition). Many have gone on to secondary schools (also paid for by this charity) and a couple have even been sponsored through Uni

They have also sorted a borehole for water - which was a two hour schlep previously

Watch out for the Black Mambas. Unsociable fuckers they are.
