Well… We look tidy but we’re ponderous. We seem to be happy with possession but we do little with it that counts. We defend brilliantly but have a keeper that costs us points. It’s a recipe for a mid-to-lower table finish. ---

There for the taking in the first half. I don’t think it would have been any different in the second if Forster had stopped the only telling shot Brighton could muster. They didn’t have the nous to score a second We gave them the encouragement they needed but their lack of quality was the telling factor in the end. Poor. ---

Just three things from me… 1. How shit is Alex McCarthy if he can’t get a game following Forster’s poor form? 2. Tadic was anonymous today. How the manager saw it appropriate to remove Boufal before him is staggering. I definitely see the game differently to MP. 3. Bringing on Hojberg to play at number 10 when the game, against a newly promoted team, is finely poised, sums it all up for me. Disappointing stuff. Again. ---

Threw the game away with negative football. PMoPe is right we have no identity apart from the obvious one. I can only hope for a Chinese clear out - front and back room. The staff and business model and philosopy of the club is shit and needs dumping. ---

OK… what am I seeing.? I see a team that has reasonable comfort on the ball, looking to pass. HOwvere, we do not yet have a settled midfield or attacking combination so we see no cohesion as an atatcking force… its slows down, not because of stye, but because we have no consistency… its slows down asthey are not confident of players being in the position in the space they would normally pass into… so the ‘safe’ option is taken, sideways or backwards. I do think we have the players, but have not found the combination… So I do sort of have a more positive perspective.
