Paradise S1 was fvcking brilliant. Truly original but with a vibe us Cold War survivors had about shelters in our nightmares and a vague conspiracy edge. Much lauded. S2 moved on and out. Early episodes hit hard, then seemed to get a bit padded out I admit I dropped behind by a couple of episodes the (new?) Story was dribbling along. Episode 7 came along with a dose of 80"s metal and built towards a need to watch Episode 8 The series finale. Have just been chatting with my daughter we have agreed the review is OMFG. Watch the show it is brilliant ---

I’ve just watched James’s Marsden in Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, was disconcerting flickng back to Paradise to see him in that playing the PoTUS. Anyway the film is a decent enough gangster crossed with sci-fi time travel, funny in places. A definite set up for a second outing.. ---

For All Mankind is one of Apple TV’s diamonds A SciFi Documentary Melodrama Soap Opera. Season 5 just finished as always with a huge cliff hanger. A season that imho meandered a bit in the middle but burst to life in the final 3 - 4 episodes and with a post credit scene for nerd fans or needing to read a review and go oooh. Season 6 will bring us up to date and end the story. It is a great show And it dropped a spin-off. Star City. Which starts at the same “date” that it’s big brother began with the Soviet Union landing on the moon. And it is totally different, yet the same… Writing, characters, acting, locations all perfect. Outside of the Moon bit, the show captures the full vibe of late 1960’s USSR to almost a Smileys People feel. It is almost an old BBC Spy Thriller. Yes it fills in some back stories on characters who appear later in FaM, yes it does some gripping Space Shit, yes it makes you wonder how those earlier Soyuz took off and how brave/terrified/unlucky some of thise early Cosmonauts must have been. Cloying, Claustrophobic, very good Spin Off ---

My bad, had seen it was ruling streaming. Just checked looks like August I watched on Lookmovie - been on there a while at 480, now at FHD or as close as my ancient laptop allows It’s what we’d expect it to be but obviously squished into the 2 hours for cinema meaning a few leap of faith jumps. Enough to keep it going ---
