Sad really, it would have been interesting to see what a few fluked wins could have done for him and the players.
Those he inherited were and are shell-shocked from last season and the new boys were quickly infected by them. 
We need someone who can inject some positivity into the club and players. Someone who can lift the whole place as well as the players. Like when Ball and Big Mac came back (bloody long time ago), even when Strachan and before that Hoddle came in. In recent times Adkins, and dare I say it the togetherness under Martin the last time in the championship. Ok, this comes with winning games as well, but we need a big spark!

We’ve no leader, no goalkeeper, centrebacks or a no 9, this is was purposely left or not, either mean they’re useless.
When everyone was getting excited by our ‘flair’ players we signed near the deadline, I was shouting my concerns. The core of the team is missing. Decent goalkeeper, centre back, ball winning/hard man midfielder and a striker that is going to get you 10/15 goals at least. The whole core is missing, and that has shown with the mistakes, the getting cut through like a knife through butter, and the inability to put the ball in the net. But we should not be as bad as we are at the moment and that comes from having an uninspiring manager with a lack of passion.
We have far too many fancy players with no substance.

He’s 34…the right kind of character in the middle of a lightweight midfield. Give him the armband and set him off tearing heads off chickens.
