As long as it follows the standard equation of good guys have a problem, good guys overcome problem whilst incorporating love interest for no reason, all loosely gathered within a shallow script and entirely predictable plot it should be fine, so I’m sure 12-year-olds, and people who wish they were still 12 will embrace it.

I sense a Pap downvote incoming…

Pap change thread title pls the official title of this film is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story , which I prefer, cos it’s even more embarrassing.

Just to clarify - this is kind of a side movie to keep us going until Episode VIII comes out?

Yes. It’s back to the time around “A New Hope”.

As long as there are X-Wings and Imperial fighters blowing shit up then I’m a happy bunny.

luke skywalker expression at the end was lols

he’s using force. you will watch this movie. I will watch this movie. you will tweet out that it was gd, even if it’s horseshit

#15

You’re just jel, Bear.

The man has it all.

Far more excited than I thought I was going to be after seeing that. Looks very cool and they will be less constrained than a ‘star wars’ movie.

Presumably Darth Vader may well get a cameo too

glad the movies will get a chance to flesh out the environment a bit. To be honest never really taken to the clone wars or rebels toons.

Mon mothma is very well done had to double take

#17

Boom.

#18

I’m hard right now.

Hunger Games

Let’s hope they don’t mess it up. I am very intrigued.

One of the reasons that Empire Strikes Back is my favourite is because we get to see Darth Vader off his leash. Would be cool to see him similarly portrayed here.

#22

Well that’s Darth’s love interest sorted. She is used to shagging men with robotic voices.

#23

Oh, mis-read that.

Thought you said Rouge rather Rogue

Thought for a moment there was going to be a mash-up of Red Dwarf and Star Wars.

Now, that I would pay to see.

#24

This is looking more like it, the last showing was absolute shit and in my humble probably the worst of the 7 so far.

#25

Artoo says that the chances of that being true are 725 to 1.

Actually Artoo has been known to make mistakes…

From time to time…

This looks mighty fine  very excited for this as it opens the whole universe up. The cinematography looks fantastic.

There is a teeny tiny part of me that is disappointed that Darth is in this at all. It should stand alone. Smacks of Ted Danson appearing in the first episode Frasier.

Thats an obscure thing to say but I stand by it

You know what’s missing? A Superclub!! Nights out in Endor were much better…
