“British Transport Films” were a staple of an evening out at The Pictures. Main feature film, the “B” Movie and if you were lucky a “British Transport Film” They were documentaries played out like a mini dramas, something warm and comforting watching them. The saddest part of these pictures is Southampton must have been a wonderful City in years gone by, the old station (both mainlines), the bargate, high st etc etc, now its a wankpit. ---
