As we all know Tatts are soooo last year now darlings. I was wondering if any of you have given thought to the next big trend. I was watching ordinary mums and dads with their kids in the pub this lunchtime and they all had Tatts. Christ I was embarrassed for them, you know the stuff…artistic swirty scrawl close-up/dirty smudge from a distance. Anyway it must be a worry for Tattooists everywhere…very soon they’ll be going to the wall if they don’t come up with something new. That’s when I came up with a brain-wave…Cosmetic Amputations. Close on the heels (or heel in this case) of the Para-Olympics it’s the obvious next big thing. A lot of you know what it’s like…get to 40 and your athletics/cycling/basketball prowess is no longer competitive. With a little judicious amputation you can kick-start your career again and choose your sport carefully, become a champ. Not too much of a step for a Tattoo Parlour, hygene is already important and there’s also the offshoot, the sale of high-tech prosthetics. ## Any other ideas for the budding entrepreneur? ---

Ah but having a little dabble is one thing but there’s still plenty of scope for making it readily available on every high street in the country … not to mention airports, train stations, motorway services … the opportunities are limitless. Yeah I think putting together a well structured franchise package will see mrs. slowlane and myself on easy street this time next year. Hacksaws are slow and messy - let’s remember that time is money. Axes - slightly more expensive but in the long run cheaper than the man hours. I’d also consider doing that Easy Jet thing - charge for different levels of clean up. Plasters included for economy, sewing extra, or pay even more for the luxury _Gold Service_ which includes anesthetic. ---
