I see the Mail readers struggled with the adaptation - and a couple of sweary words with one fine reader … and I quote ‘I switched off after they made Scrooge used the F-word, and i’m Proper sweary me’’ Does Fatso read the Mail? Did he write I? Did we need another purist adaptation since there are many? Or is this ‘peaked Blinders’ version a fair modernisation? I suspect the ‘right propa sweary bloke’ loved the modern version with Grant Mitchell as Eddie Scrooge, dept collector… ---
