I dunno. He didn’t exactly put much effort into it. Didn’t even give me a capital L! I think I’d be one of those friends that never gets an invite to his mums house - it’s always a meet up outside the local petrol station. ---

Gay Abandon did get a disproportionately large amount of crap back in the day. It was bad enough that Turks had cast himself as Gripper Stebson and Gay Abandon as Roland. Having Verbs waft in Mr Bronson style moaning about the edit can’t have helped. But that’s the past. Gay Abandon has had an illustrious Sotonians career to date. This is not widely known, but people have petitioned me via PM suggesting that Gay Abandon might benefit from getting his username changed. He resembled a Blairite on Corbyn Landslide Day as the votes poured in and Gay Abandon became unassailable. I didn’t know if he was truly comfy with the transition. I’ve given him the option of a username change twice now, and he’s having none of it. I don’t blame him; it’s arguably the best username on the site. ---

Gay Abandon does not want to be taken seriously though Lou Babe. Cracked Rib, is indeed a fine Gentleman, of sound wit and intellect, handsome, kind, compassionate, yet retains that ever so slight rakishness that the ladies seem to admire…what a guy. Sadly I cannot live up to such greatness no matter how hard I try… he is a god… cool without ever needing to try or be told… some guys have all the luck. Its a cruel work Lou, a cruel world… ---

Cracked Rib was like a bit of rough you might call up on a cold rainy night. The ladies of this forum definitely miss him. It was more his imperfections we admired…in many ways he was opposite to a god. But his talents were certainly heavenly. ---

Alas, the last I heard he was working for UNICEF digging village wells in Eritrea to ensure local kids has fresh clean water, in between working with street kids to help them get back home. He writes poetry as well (which I saw you liked) - so I will get him to send me some of his prose to share. ---
