I spent a lot of time in this store in my teens, first of all buying tapes, then CDs, but after 1993, I started working in the new Pizzaland which replaced it. It then changed to Bella Pasta around 1998 when whitbread bought out all the Pizzaland restaurants. As they already own Pizza Hut they changed it to Bella Pasta, now Bella Italia.

Oh the Pizzaland 1p vouchers!

Aaah, the old ice stating ring - I learnt how not to skate there. Do you know when the above photo was taken Sfcsim?

Good photos - well worth the struggle to upload them.

The ice skating would have been 1988, that it closed. They started knocking down the same day. People turned up like normal, to see it being knocked down, without prior warning.

I have no idea where this is? Anyone?

But this was the same place about 30 years ago!

Burgess Road, up by the library facing down towards Swaythling.

Here is the library late 80’ and more familiar with me, as I used to wait for the bus here after school at Cantell.

Right, I have 100’s of pictures, but I am not sure if people are even looking? Also I want to check to make sure I am not clogging up the site, with pictures.

May post a few tomorrow, after I have had the all clear from Pap.

The Brook Inn

OMO Washing up powder, the straying housewives’ friend. A packet left in the window signalled ‘old man out’, so the story goes.

Lord knows what a sign that big signalled.

I don’t know, but the woman in the end terrace house, must have had some fun! :stuck_out_tongue:
